Chongqing, Singapore Hold Tourism Product Launch, Reception to Boost Cooperation

Chongqing - The China-Singapore (Chongqing) Cultural and Tourism Industry Alliance 2023 Tourism Product Launch&Reception was held in Southwest China's Chongqing on March 29.

The conference, which included product launches, exchange banquets, and field visits, further enhanced cultural and tourism exchanges and practical cooperation between Chongqing and Singapore, better meeting the market demands.

It was the inaugural member exchange event of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Cultural and Tourism Industry Alliance, established in November of last year. The alliance serves as an open platform for policy consulting, exhibition and sales, learning and training, and information exchange to promote resource integration, the cooperation of Chongqing and Singapore in the cultural and tourism industry, and cultural exchange between the regions.

At the conference, the alliance's Chongqing Window of International Culture and Tourism, the Chinese secretariat, showcased Chongqing's cultural tourism attractions, including the 8D Magical City, the magnificent Three Gorges of the Yangtze River, the World Heritage sites, the ancient and modern Wuling scenery, the world's capital of hot springs, and the renowned Chongqing hot pot.

In addition, the Fuling Baihelian underwater museum, Youyang Taohuayuan Scenic Area, and Wulong Tiansheng Three Bridges were among the nearly 30 tourism products released. The Singaporean secretariat, SPACElogic Group, showcased Singapore's unique charm as a "Garden City" by releasing tourism products from various dimensions, including tourism complexes, scenic spots, travel agencies, hotels, and Singaporean companies in Chongqing.

Liu Jianguo, the chief engineer of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, stated that the conference provides a new opportunity for the common development of Chongqing and Singapore and sets a new benchmark for interconnection and sharing in the cultural and tourism fields between the two regions, deepening cooperation between cultural and tourism enterprises.

Tang Weidong, the deputy director general of the Chongqing-Singapore Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity Bureau, hopes that the event will lead to mutually beneficial cooperation results, promoting cultural and tourism exchanges and cooperation between China and Singapore while enhancing cultural exchanges between the two nations.

Xie Jinchuan, the director of the Singapore Tourism Board's Western China Office, hopes that through this conference, alliance members can deepen their contacts, update their understanding of each other's market products, better understand consumers' preferences, and plan more personalized and creative itineraries and experiences, allowing travelers to see and experience different types of travel.
