Chengdu-Chongqing RCEP Cross-border Trade Center Offers One-stop Service for Int’l Trade

Chongqing - The Chengdu-Chongqing Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) Cross-border Trade Center was awarded as a "Chongqing-made Export Base" on April 20, the only base in Chongqing that enables local products to go global.

This means that the center will comprehensively integrate the resources of existing enterprises in different sectors and play the role of incubation engine and ecological business platform for an export-oriented economy.

The center was also awarded as the Chongqing Cross-border E-commerce Demonstration Zone, aiming to attract more e-commerce platforms to settle there and gather the upstream and downstream industrial chains of cross-border e-commerce.

According to the person in charge, the cross-border center will provide supportive services for the whole industrial chain, including carrier resources, supply chain management, tax refund, and industrial talents.

The center will also serve as a core platform for the Cuntan International Business Center to introduce cross-border e-commerce platforms and develop new trade modes such as digital trade, entertainment, and technology services.

Specifically, the center will introduce 50 enterprises in the cross-border trade industry chain and gather incremental trade value of over 10 billion yuan (approx. 1.45 billion USD) within three years, realizing the digital upgrade of cross-border trade industry services in comprehensive bonded zones.

Cultivating 1,500 qualified cross-border trade talents, the center aims to drive 15 local traditional production and foreign trade enterprises to create independent brands abroad.

It is worth mentioning that the first one-stop comprehensive service platform for cross-border trade in Southwest China will be created at the center, providing settled enterprises with a series of services from policy consulting and taxation to cross-border settlement and supply chain management.

Located in Cuntan International Business Center, the cross-border trade center will plan to build a business exhibition hall, leisure area, and corporate office area, providing standard and efficient one-stop comprehensive services to enterprises.
