Chongqing - A total of 15.84 tons of 237,000 fresh eggs were shipped from Changshou District, Southwest China's Chongqing, to Hong Kong on April 24, expected to arrive in about one day.
This is the first time that Chongqing-made fresh eggs achieved self-operated export. The eggs exported are from a Chongqing company, a new modernized whole-industry chain of egg farming and animal husbandry enterprise.
"Thanks to the strong support from the customs in the farms filing and standardized production, we maintain a reputation of our products and corporate image in Hong Kong and Macau markets," said Liu Yang, the egg farming company's general manager.

After the normalized supply, the company will send about 20 tons of eggs to Hong Kong every week, and the annual export value can reach 10 million yuan (about 1.45 million U.S. dollars) in the future.
According to Xiang Junfeng, deputy director of Fuling Customs under the Chongqing Customs District, the customs helps enterprises to strengthen farm management and promote hygiene control systems and food safety.
Data shows that Chongqing's agricultural export is rising this year, with 240 million yuan (about 34.77 million U.S. dollars) in the first quarter. There are 106 related enterprises with agricultural product export performance.
Next, Chongqing Customs District will implement intelligent audit, inspection, and customs clearance to smooth the export of food and agricultural products. Similarly, the customs will enhance supervision efficiency and service level, ensuring the quality, safety, and stable supply of food shipped to Hong Kong.
This will help more of Chongqing's unique agricultural products do cross-border business, boosting the high-quality development of the Chongqing food and agricultural products processing industry.
