Chongqing - On April 22, five major marathon events were held in different districts of Southwest China's Chongqing. Despite the rain, the events provided an excellent opportunity for runners to explore the unique beauty of Chongqing's natural and urban landscapes and experience the passion and joy of running.
The 2023 Chongqing Jinfo Mountain Half Marathon kicked off in the Nanchuan District, with 1,000 runners from 58 cities nationwide taking on the 178KM fun drive route around the mountain to immerse themselves in the heritage site's beauty and the unique charm of the marathon.

This professional marathon event is the first in the Nanchuan District, and its track is located on the southern foothills of the world natural heritage site, Jinfo Mountain, offering the runners an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the countryside and the fragrance of flowers along the way.
At the same time, the 2023 Three Gorges Orange Village Marathon was held in the Zhongxian District, where 3,000 marathon enthusiasts from all over the country gathered to enjoy the pastoral scenery of the Orange Village Complex.

The marathon corridor, built according to international marathon track standards, allowed the runners to enjoy the high-standard track and the town's picturesque scenery.
In the Fengjie District, the 2023 Fengjie Half Marathon started in Binhe Park, where 6,192 runners enjoyed the passion and energy of the marathon while running along the riverside track. The event had two categories: the half marathon (21.0975 kilometers) and the mini marathon (4.1 kilometers).

The 2023 Chongqing Tieshanping Urban Trail Race occurred in the Yubei District's Tieshanping Forest Park, a national 4A-level tourist attraction. More than 400 runners took on the "city light off-road" track, which includes the beautiful mountainous scenery of Tieshanping and a stunning view of the Yangtze River from the viewing platform.

The city's streets and alleys were also brought to life with the 2023 Mountain City Street Orienteering Race, which allowed runners to experience the unique charm of Chongqing's urban environment while enjoying the excitement of the sport.
