Chongqing - China's Ministry of Culture and Tourism has introduced ten travel routes that showcase different themes, utilizing the abundant cultural and tourism resources along the Yangtze River's international golden tourism belt.
The themes include cultural origins tracing, world-level heritage, Communist revolutionary heritage, nature and ecology, rural vitalization, intangible cultural heritage, and urban recreational tours.
Among the ten national-level tourist routes, nine routes are related to Chongqing, including famous attractions such as the Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum, Diaoyu Fortress National Archaeological Site Park, Dazu Rock Carvings, and the Jinfo Mountain Scenic Area.
Cultural Origins Tracing Tour
This route brings you to several museums and remarkable cultural heritage sites, like the Sanxingdui Museum, the Hubei Museum, and the Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City, which carry the extensive, profound, and long-lasting civilization of the Yangtze River. Along this route, you can explore the civilization's origin, history, and achievement and obtain spiritual power and motivation for progress.
This route includes attractions like the Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum and Diaoyu Fortress National Archaeological Site Park.

World-level Heritage Tour
This route connects several world heritage sites, such as the Jiuzhaigou Valley Scenic and Historic Interest Area, the Old Town of Lijiang, Huangshan Mountain, the Classical Gardens of Suzhou, and the West Lake Cultural Landscape of Hangzhou. Combining natural sceneries and profound culture enables you to deepen your understanding of Chinese culture and enhance your cultural confidence.
This route covers the following attractions in Chongqing: Dazu Rock Carvings, Furong River Scenic Area, Jinfo Mountain Scenic Area, and Wulipo National Natural Reserve.

River-Watching Tour
This route exhibits several principal hydro projects and irrigation engineering heritages, such as Three Gorges Dam and Dujiangyan Irrigation System. This route offers you an opportunity to get closer to these hydro projects and learn previous water management practices. During the process, you may amaze at your ancestors' wisdom in water management and witness the peaceful lifestyle and excellent ecosystem.
This route covers the following attractions in Chongqing: Baiheliang (White Crane Ridge) Underwater Museum, Changshou Lake Scenic Area, and Longshui Lake Scenic Area.

Communist Revolutionary Heritage Tour
This route, marked by red tourism classic scenic spots, shows the history of the Communist Party of China (CPC). It reminds you of CPC's original aspiration and mission and encourages them to move forward.
This route covers the following attractions in Chongqing: Gele Mountain Revolutionary Martyr's Park, Hongyan Square and Exhibition Gallery, Liu Bocheng's Former Residence and Memorial Hall, Nie Rongzhen Memorial Hall, and Qiu Shaoyun Memorial.

Nature-and-Ecology Tour
This route presents beautiful natural sceneries along the Yangtze River. You may enjoy green mountains, clear waters, and a harmonious relationship between humans and nature.
This route covers the following attractions in Chongqing: Lesser Three Gorges, Black Mountain Valley Scenic Area, Ayi River Scenic Area, and Youyang Taohuayuan (Peach Garden) Scenic Area National Forest Park.

This route covers Chongqing's attractions: Baidi City·Qutang Gorge Scenic Area, Simian Mountain Scenic Area, and Zhuoshui Scenic Area.

Rural-Revitalization Tour
This route connects significant rural villages along the Yangtze River, where you can feel the charm and casual vibe of rural areas and witness the achievement of rural revitalization.
This route covers the following attractions in Chongqing: Zhuxian Village in Wushan District, Huaxi Village in Zhongyi Town in Tujia Ethnic Group Autonomous County in Shizhu District, and the Tea Mountain Village at Hongchiba Town in Wuxi District.

This route leads you to some cultural ecology protection zones along the Yangtze River, which provide knowledge about intangible cultural heritages and arouse your passion for them. Also, you may feel their vigor and charm in the new era.
This route covers the following attractions in Chongqing: Tujia and Miao ethnic groups' cultural ecology protection (experimental) zone at Wuling Mountain (in the Southeast of Chongqing).

This route covers the following attractions in Chongqing: Ninth Street, Ciqikou Ancient Town, Danzishi Old Street, and Hongyadong Folk Custom Scenic Area.
