The exhibition offered diverse industries, including automobiles, motorcycles, machinery, and electronic information. Over the three days, numerous Belarusian professionals and locals attended the exhibition, participating in productive discussions and negotiations.

Many participating companies forged connections with potential Belarusian clients and arranged site visits to Chongqing for the latter part of the year.

As an official with the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce said, the exhibition aimed to present a platform for businesses to showcase, demonstrate, and engage in trade exchanges, consequently bolstering the visibility and influence of Chongqing brands. The event was also intended to further elevate the degree of economic and trade cooperation between Chongqing and Belarus.

There's a robust foundation for cooperation between Chongqing and Belarus, especially in the economic and trade sectors. Belarus has a strong basis in agriculture, food processing, and advanced machinery manufacturing. Due to their superior quality, Chongqing consumers highly favor Belarusian dairy products, meats, confectioneries, and chocolates.

On the other hand, Chongqing is renowned for its advanced laptop manufacturing industry and well-established automotive industry supply chain. The complementary nature of industrial structures between Chongqing and Belarus provides ample room and considerable potential for bilateral economic and trade cooperation.

In 2022, the total volume of imports and exports between Chongqing and Belarus exceeded 500 million yuan (USD 78 million), marking a year-on-year growth of 54.8%. In just the first five months of this year, the trade volume between Chongqing and Belarus reached 320 million yuan (USD 50 million), indicating a significant growth of 127.4% compared to the same period in the previous year.

Chongqing's automobile and engine businesses have already established collaborations with companies in Belarus, while traditional Chinese medicine, clothing, and red wine industries are also exploring potential partnerships with Belarus. The economic and trade cooperation between the two regions continues to extend across various sectors, further deepening and diversifying the collaboration.
