On July 2, the International Intermodal Freight Train (ASEAN - Jiangjin, Chongqing - Europe) departed from the Xiaonanya Railway Logistics Center in Jiangjin Luohuang Railway Comprehensive Logistics Hub in Chongqing.
The train carried 55 containers, including imported electronic components transported by the China-Vietnam railway, chemical products from Sichuan, and locally produced automobiles from Chongqing. And they will be sent to the European market along the Silk Road connecting Asia and Europe.
This is an important initiative to promote the effective connection between the ILSTC, China Railway Express to Europe, and the Yangtze River Economic Belt along the golden waterway, which plays an important role in stabilizing the international supply chain and industrial chain as well as promoting the "Dual Cycle."
Since July 2019, the Jiangjin Railway Service, as part of the ILSTC, has achieved regular operation, and as of June 30, 2023, a total of 1,344 trains have operated, transporting a total of 66,908 TEUs, with a cumulative freight value of 3.497 billion yuan (about USD 480 million).
