Vice Mayor of Nice, France, Visits China’s Chongqing

Recently, Christiane Amiel, Vice Mayor of Nice, France, led a delegation to Chongqing, attending China (Chongqing) Airport Economy Conference 2023 and delivering a keynote speech.

On June 30, Amiel delivered a speech at the opening ceremony of the China (Chongqing) Airport Economy Conference 2023. She stated that since 2008, Nice has embarked on an industrial transformation focusing on innovation, ecological industries, and new technologies, actively pursuing the development of smart and sustainable cities with determination. Nice has a thriving business environment with modern infrastructure, skilled labor, and an exceptional quality of life. The local government is committed to promoting innovation and entrepreneurship and recognizes China as an ideal partner in driving development in these areas. During the meeting, the city of Nice introduced itself and signed the Memorandum of Cooperation on Jointly Promoting the Development of the Cultural Tourism Industry with Yubei District.

During their visit to Chongqing, the Foreign Affairs Office of Chongqing Municipal People's Government and Amiel's delegation reached a series of agreements on cooperation in various areas, including people-to-people exchanges, manufacturing, green tourism, exchanges between universities, vocational education in tourism and hotel management, and exhibitions.
