The extensive and impressive Chinese architecture exhibition prominently displayed China's significant contribution to international architecture. Among the 180 projects 36 Chinese design organizations exhibited, the Yuelai Smart Island in Chongqing's Liangjiang New Area stood out. This island, spanning 3,523 square meters, is an integral part of the Chongqing Yuelai International Convention and Exhibition City. Designed with the philosophy of co-developing digitization and creation, it seamlessly blends intelligence and art, showcasing a concise style enriched with technological and cultural significance.
Yuelai Smart Island's architectural design adopts a simple and modern language, featuring fair-faced concrete and the fusion of folding and straight lines to evoke a sense of building tension. The gray concrete facade beautifully complements the surrounding green landscape mountains. The interplay between the facade and transparent glass elements creates a harmonious balance, combining simplicity with elegance. The island achieves a diversified integration and harmonious coexistence of architecture, landscapes, and the surrounding environment by blurring the boundaries between construction and landscape.

Beyond its aesthetic appeal, Yuelai Smart Island serves as a hub for technological innovation, smart city operations management, and convention and exhibition services. With its data center, command center, operation center, innovation center, and literature and history digital archive center, the island leverages cutting-edge big data visualization technology to achieve high integration and connectivity across various systems. This includes monitoring sponge cities, managing urban infrastructures, and analyzing traffic data, ultimately fostering smarter industrial development, efficient city management, and improved urban living.
Yuelai Smart Island's big data center has become a vital resource, facilitating statistics and basic information sharing. Several government offices in Chongqing have established their presence on the island, fostering collaboration in city management, emergency support, and convention and exhibition services. Recognized as one of the most promising cases in the 2021 China Digital Twin Cities, the digital hall of Yuelai Smart Island demonstrates its commitment to embracing the potential of digital technology.
Yuelai Smart Island envisions a future centered on artificial intelligence and big data, with the continuous expansion of application scenarios and the realization of the full value of big data. Harnessing the power of highly-converged data, experiencing scenarios, and predictable value, drives digitization's progress and expedite economic development.
