Western China Pre-Made Food Expo Promotes Booming Industry Development

Chongqing - The Western China Pre-Made Food Expo 2023 kicked off on July 11 in Liangping District, Chongqing, Southwest China. More than 140 exhibitors from all over China displayed nearly 1,000 pre-made food products.

On the morning of July 11, the launching ceremony of the New Land-Sea Corridor Pre-made Food was held in Liangping District, the Pre-made Food Center in Western China. Four trucks carrying more than 80 tons of local pre-made food products, such as pomelo juice and dried bean curd, departed from Liangping all the way to Southeast Asian countries, including Singapore and Thailand. 

 "This is an important initiative of Liangping's integration into the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor," said Tang Junyi, vice district mayor of Liangping district. "It not only provides an efficient and stable logistics channel for pre-made food enterprises in Liangping District but also creates a new advantage for Liangping in future investment attraction and industrial agglomeration."

The 2nd Western China Pre-Made Food Industry Development Conference was held on the same day. The Liangping Index, which aims to be a bellwether for the high-quality development of China's pre-made food industry, was released by the Center for Consumer Economy Research of Sadie Consultant.

The Mayor's Forum of the 2nd Western China Pre-made Food Industry Development Conference was held on the afternoon of July 11. Officials from the Liangping District of Chongqing, Shunde District of Foshan City, Guangdong Province, and Laiyang City of Yantai City, Shandong Province, shared their thoughts on developing the pre-made food industry. They jointly drew up a blueprint for its growth.

In recent years, Liangping District has been committed to becoming the Pre-made Food Center in Western China with its unique advantages and abundant agricultural resources and has already established a well-developed pre-made food industry system. 

"Liangping will continue to build an internationally competitive pre-made food industry base. The goal is to achieve a total output value of 50 billion yuan for the entire pre-made food industry chain by 2025 and form a billion-level industrial cluster by early 2030," said Chen Mengwen,  district mayor of Liangping.
