Chongqing - A delegation led by the Minister of Road and Transport Development of Mongolia, Byambatsogt Sandag, recently visited Southwest China's Chongqing to explore opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.

Zheng Xiangdong, Deputy Mayor of Chongqing Municipal People's Government, met with Byambatsogt Sandag and his delegation. On behalf of the government, Zheng warmly welcomed the visit to Chongqing and provided an overview of Chongqing's comprehensive multi-dimensional transportation network construction and the development of new energy vehicles.
Zheng hoped to strengthen further economic, trade, and cultural exchanges between Chongqing and Mongolia. He emphasized the potential for cooperation in new energy vehicles, agricultural products, mineral resources, infrastructure construction, direct flights, and friendship exchanges.
Byambatsogt Sandag acknowledged the significance of transportation and logistics as crucial areas for economic cooperation between Mongolia and China. He expressed Mongolia's willingness to expand cooperation with Chongqing in relevant fields and welcomed active investment from Chongqing's enterprises in Mongolia.

During their visit to Chongqing, Byambatsogt Sandag and his delegation visited several companies, including Chongqing's BYD Lithium Battery Co Ltd, China Railway Hengtong Auto Co Ltd, Jiangjin China State Construction Bridge Co Ltd in Jiangjin District, and Changan Automobile's factory in Liangjiang New Area. They discussed and explored potential cooperation in bridge construction and new energy vehicles.
