The expo, known for its diverse and captivating content, includes six events: the opening ceremony, the keynote address, aeronautics science forums, the aerospace science education equipment exhibition, and the aerospace business and leisure Cultural Festival (including a drone light show), among others.
Mr. Lin Zuoming, the President of the Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics (CSAA), delivered a speech at the event, emphasizing the importance of aerospace science education in advancing China's industry.
"We can only cultivate more aerospace professionals and propel our aerospace industry to new heights through scientific outreach. Aerospace science education should also extend to a broader social audience. With the continuous development of aerospace technology, innovative educational methods should be utilized to bring aerospace science education to more segments of society, making aerospace knowledge more accessible to all," Lin said.
He further highlighted Chongqing's unique advantage as an important city in western China with a robust aerospace technology and industry base. The convening of this expo will undoubtedly further promote the development of Chongqing's aerospace science education sector, providing new ideas and insights into the national and global aerospace science education field.
During the opening ceremony, astronaut Yang Liwei and academician Liu Daxiang unveiled the mascot for the 7th Educational Drone Event, the stylish and youthful "Tufei Fei." This mascot ingeniously integrates drone elements, with its ears resembling drone blades and its eyes inspired by drone cameras, combining cuteness with a futuristic touch.
