Chongqing - The 2023 Smart China Expo (SCE 2023), held from September 4 to 6 at the Chongqing International Expo Center, witnessed a strong representation from South Korea. A majority of these participants are at the forefront of technological advancement. Notable enterprises such as LG Chem and Posco were in attendance. Moreover, ten automotive sector giants alongside ICT companies specializing in AR, VR, smart city solutions, and Gyeonggi smart life were also part of the delegation. The South Korean Pavilion was meticulously designed, with every element echoing the overarching theme: “Pooling together wisdom and strength.”

One of the major highlights of the SCE was the organization of the 2023 China-South Korea New Energy Vehicles Industry Development Cooperation Fair within the Korea Pavilion. This was an initiative to enhance enterprise cooperation and exchanges between China and South Korea. Eminent representatives from firms such as SFTC, Mt.H, and Guardnec traveled especially to Chongqing, engaging in productive negotiations with local business magnates like Chongqing Changan Deepal Automobile, Qingling, and Tomorrow Hydrogen Energy.
Furthermore, the Korean Pavilion didn't miss the chance to spotlight the upcoming Busan Expo 2030. Busan, celebrated for its dynamism on the world stage, is prepping to host this grand event. The Expo 2030 theme, “Transforming Our World, Navigating Toward a Better Future,” encapsulates a global aspiration for a profound shift in the future. This theme is further divided into three poignant sub-themes: “Sustainable Living with Nature,” “Technology for Humanity,” and “Platform for Caring and Sharing ‘People.’”
