First French Alps Ski Carnival to Attract Enthusiasts for Snowy Adventures

The sport of skiing has witnessed remarkable growth and increased involvement across China in the last three years, largely inspired and stimulated by the Beijing Winter Olympics. 

As winter unveils its splendor and ushers in the ski season, France cordially extends an invitation to ski enthusiasts in China to partake in the carnival event, the First French Alps Ski Carnival during the 2023-2024 snow season.

The French Alps are globally renowned for their unparalleled and diverse ski culture and landscapes, embodying not just a sport but a lifestyle enriched with tradition.

 Each November, the exquisite Alpine slopes become a vibrant rendezvous for ski enthusiasts of all ages, from the young to the elderly, allowing them to revel in joyful moments on the snow trails and to immerse themselves deeply in the distinctive "Après-Ski" lifestyle - a term defined by the Oxford Living Dictionary as the social activities and entertainment following a day of skiing.

The carnival is a collaborative effort orchestrated by the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of France and acclaimed French ski resorts, with the aspiration to convey an authentic French skiing experience coupled with a plethora of diverse après-ski activities to ski enthusiasts in China. This event is meticulously curated to cater not only to the desire of professional skiers but also to offer introductory opportunities for novices, enabling participants to savor the allure of France's four premier ski resorts.

Atout France, the esteemed French Tourism Development Agency has been fervently promoting France's diverse tourism resources and rich culture. The agency plans to hold promotional events in major Chinese cities in 2023 to gather insights into the preferences and needs of ski enthusiasts in China, presenting them with the mesmerizing winter landscapes and distinctive ambiance of the French Alps. The initiative aims to position France as the hallmark of sustainable tourism. In collaboration with Chinese tourism partners, Atout France endeavors to herald a new era of accomplishments in outbound tourism.

France has always been full of expectations and confidence in the Chinese market. With the gradual resumption of international flights between China and France, we hope to welcome more Chinese tourists. The French Tourism Development Agency has also launched a new "French Tourism Expert" training program to provide professional training for institutions and personnel interested in traveling to France to meet the travel needs of Chinese tourists better.

The French Alps Ski Carnival will introduce ski fans in China to the vibrant ski lifestyle and enrich the après-ski culture of this region, ensuring a memorable winter experience for all those attending.
