When local and international tourists explore Chongqing, visiting "Liziba" to witness the mesmerizing "Monorail Crossing Buildings" has become an essential item on their itinerary. Beyond this unique rail landscape, Chongqing's identity is closely tied to its exceptional rail transit system. Chongqing Rail Transit has also achieved numerous records, earning distinction on both the national and global stages. Yet, behind these dazzling accomplishments lies the tireless dedication of countless individuals.

Within the bustling environment of the Tangjiatuo vehicle section of Line 4, 21-year-old Zhong Ruyi, the sole female worker in her group, commences her daily vehicle maintenance at precisely 9:00 AM. Although the mandatory safety checks only require a quarter of an hour, Ruyi finds herself drenched in sweat.
Equipped with a full set of safety gear, she conducts roof inspections while enduring the sweltering heat, her face flushed with exertion.
Ruyi meticulously examines various components, such as the pantograph, arrester, air-conditioning unit, fuse box, and more, ensuring everything operates flawlessly. She also ensures that each part meets the standards for lubrication and cleanliness.

In 2022, Zhong Ruyi embarked on her journey as a vehicle maintenance personnel following her recruitment through school. At first, she was apprehensive about handling the substantial tools and keeping pace with the wealth of knowledge she needed to acquire. However, after a year of tireless effort, she has grown confident in her abilities.
"Our unique strengths as women, perhaps a greater attention to detail," Ruyi explains. While her male counterparts might suffice with a single check if nothing appears amiss, she prefers to double-check. In addition to dedicating her free time to study, she actively participates in the workshop's skills assessments, drills, and various activities organized by the company. Her determination is evident as she passed the intermediate skills level examination.

"We're all equally dedicated, striving to fulfill our responsibilities and ensure passengers enjoy a safe and comfortable journey," Ruyi says radiantly.
According to Chongqing Rail Transit Group, as of August 2023, Chongqing boasts an impressive network of 12 rail transit lines, solidifying its status as the world's largest mountainous urban rail transit operation network. This achievement propels Chongqing into the ranks of world-class rail transit cities. The extensive rail transit system seamlessly connects the main city with its expanding areas, covering a total operating mileage of over 500 kilometers. This accomplishment ensures residents enjoy convenient and secure travel services.
