In Madrid, the delegation hosted a symposium introducing the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor and Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle to promote Chongqing's talent policies and encourage overseas professionals to develop in Chongqing. This symposium drew considerable attention from Spanish political and business circles, universities, and international students.

The delegation also visited the cities of Elche and Canete in Spain and conducted detailed discussions at the Miguel Hernández University Scientific Park. Besides, Chongqing Yucheng Development Co., Ltd. signed agreements with the Union Institute of Science and Technology Parks of Valencia and Universidad Politécnica de Valencia. These agreements aim to establish incubation platforms for overseas talent projects in Western (Chongqing) Science City.

Xiao Chunrong, deputy general manager of Chongqing Yucheng Development Co., Ltd., said these platforms would facilitate project alignment, screening, and offshore incubation for talents and innovation projects. Additionally, they will assist enterprises in international market expansion and collaboration in Spain and Portugal.

Chongqing Yucheng Development Co., Ltd., the National Offshore Innovation and Entrepreneurship Base operator for Overseas Professionals of Chongqing Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone, is pioneering new approaches to talent introduction and innovation. A successful case is Professor Gong Xianchang, who, after a nine-year tenure in the U.S. researching anti-tumor drugs, chose to join the Western (Chongqing) Science City.

Assisted by the company, their crucial project, Industrialization of Hedgehog Signaling Pathway Inhibitor, has been chosen for a national startup support program.

"Our team doesn't have much experience with the local market and regulations. However, the comprehensive support provided by Chongqing Yucheng Development Co., Ltd. allows our team to focus on clinical research and development without worrying about team expansion and market operations," said Gong.

Furthermore, the person in charge of the Chongqing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau has interpreted the talent offshore mechanism. This initiative is supported by the Chongqing government, allowing talents to engage in offshore research and development, service trade, and other business operations.

Additionally, the mechanism offers unique dual benefits, including domestic and international registration, incubation, and operational advantages, enhancing flexibility and efficiency in transferring scientific research outcomes to practical applications.

So far, the company's incubation workstation has attracted various projects in leading industries like information technology and life sciences, bringing in 31 overseas talents. This initiative is poised to contribute to Chongqing's technological innovation and economic growth, offering a conducive environment for overseas talents.

The visit underlines the deepening cooperation between China and Spain in multiple sectors, including economic, scientific, and talent exchanges. The agreements signed are set to expand the scope of collaboration and strengthen strategic partnerships, with Chongqing playing a pivotal role in fostering a more interconnected international cooperation network.
