First EU Law Firm Representative Office in Southwest China Opens in Chongqing

Chongqing - Areti Charidemou & Associates LLC, a law firm based in Cyprus, has recently established its representative office in Chongqing's Shapingba District. The Ministry of Justice approved the firm's presence in Chongqing in June this year. The Shapingba District People's Government, Chongqing International Logistics Hub Park, and Areti Charidemou & Associates LLC recently announced an official collaboration.

The Chongqing International Logistics Hub Park welcomes another international legal entity after introducing the Asia-Pacific International Arbitration Court in October.

The Shapingba District government and Areti Charidemou & Associates LLC in Chongqing signed a cooperation agreement to jointly build the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor International Legal Service Zone.

As the only European Union law firm representative office in the central and western regions of China, Areti Charidemou & Associates LLC's Chongqing office will focus on providing comprehensive legal services in areas such as cross-border investments, international trade and logistics to countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative.

The representative office is actively involved in legal and project management consulting for the China-Europe air corridor and the southern route of the China-Europe freight train.
