"The initiative involves an investment of at least 500 million yuan (about USD 69.3 million) over the next five years, targeting core product research and development, technological transformation, and the construction of a digital AI demonstration center and a smart computing power center," announced an official from Beagle Data.

The Beagle Data initiative is a key component of a broader development in Jiangbei District, which has recently finalized agreements for 40 major projects worth about 26 billion yuan. These projects span several industries, such as financial leasing, energy supply, intelligent manufacturing, and information services.

Among these initiatives, significant projects include the Chongqing Sanhai Energy Group's construction of a new 300MW/600MWh lithium battery energy storage power station, along with various efforts to establish a major hub for supercomputing and intelligent energy management in the region.

Jiangbei District has initiated seven key projects, with a total investment of approximately 4.3 billion yuan. These projects focus on upgrading infrastructure in the older Guanyinqiao neighborhoods, promoting urban renewal, and enhancing waterway governance.

The Guanyinqiao Pedestrian Street, known for attracting upscale shopping and dining, continues to see growth in both infrastructure and consumer traffic. This has led to the creation of the Guanyinqiao "air corridor" project.

"The 'air corridor' includes a 'one ring and two axes,' linking six rail stations and eleven commercial centers to local residential areas over a total length of about 4.1 kilometers," said the Guanyinqiao "air corridor" project manager.

He further explained that the Guanyinqiao "air corridor" will further activate the surrounding residential areas, forming a 24-hour open new walking system, bringing a convenient travel experience for the masses to swim in the business district.

Additionally, the recent launch of Chongqing Far Eastern City on May 1 is expected to significantly enhance the local economy. "Far Eastern City is designed to be a regional hub for quality consumption, housing over 150 premium brands, with more than 30% being introduced to the region for the first time," said the project leader.

He added this initiative is poised to transform Guanyinqiao into a globally recognized commercial district and establish it as a new landmark for consumer activity in Chongqing.

Situated on the banks of the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers, Jiangbei District leverages its proximity to water and convenient shipping routes. This strategic location has made Jiangbei a thriving and prosperous commercial district in Chongqing.
