Nearly 100 New Cars to Debut at the 26th Chongqing Int’l Auto Exhibition

Chongqing - The 26th Chongqing International Auto Exhibition will be held from June 7 to 16, 2024, at the Chongqing International Expo Center.

According to official sources, the exhibition aims to drive the automotive industry's development towards new energy, intelligent connectivity, and high-end and green technologies, bringing new vitality to the global automotive sector.

The exhibition will showcase over 1,000 models, including nearly 100 new cars, focusing on new energy vehicles. Highlights include the debut of BYD's Yangwang U8 and Fang Cheng Bao Bao 8.

The event will feature prominent automotive leaders, including Changan Automobile's Chairman Zhu Huarong, GAC Group's Chairman Zeng Qinghong, Li Auto's Chairman Li Xiang, and NIO's Chairman William Li.

International giants like Mercedes-Benz and Audi will also attend. From June 6 to 8, these guests will host forums to share insights and innovations in new energy vehicles with the audience.

Discussion topics will include "Fuel Vehicles vs. Electric Vehicles: Replacement or Co-existence," "The New Era of Joint Ventures," and "High-end Autonomous Driving."

The Chongqing International Auto Exhibition, established in 1998, is co-hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Automotive Sub-Council, the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), and the Chongqing Municipal People's Government. 

Chongqing's automotive industry is crucial to China. In 2023, Chongqing produced 2.32 million vehicles, surpassing Shanghai and ranking second only to Guangzhou.
