Chongqing Jiangjin Comprehensive Bonded Zone, with a planned area of 2.21 square kilometers, is situated within the Luohuang Industrial Park of Jiangjin District. It is a comprehensive bonded zone with significant location advantages. The key focuses include bonded processing, bonded logistics, and bonded services.
The Zone is situated at the intersection of the Belt and Road Initiative and the Yangtze River Economic Belt in the southern part of Chongqing's downtown area. It serves as a crucial platform for the new round of opening up in western China.
It connects eastward via the golden waterway of the Yangtze River, facilitating river-sea transportation along the Yangtze River Economic Belt. It links westward to Central Asia and Europe through the China-Europe Railway Express (Chengdu-Chongqing). It extends southward to one of the starting points of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor in Chongqing, reaching Southeast Asia.
In 2022, Chongqing Jiangjin Comprehensive Bonded Zone achieved an import and export trade volume of approximately 14.8 billion yuan, a net increase of about 2.25 billion yuan from the previous year, representing a year-on-year growth of 17.97 percent. It became the only open platform in the city to achieve double-digit growth in import and export volume.
The Zone leverages its status as a national-level open platform to develop "bonded+" industries, including innovative sectors like bonded research and development, and bonded repair and remanufacturing. This strategy promotes industrial diversification and enhances new drivers of foreign trade growth.
It integrates into the "dual circulation" of domestic and international markets, seizing opportunities from the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor. It accelerates the improvement of the "water-road-rail" multimodal transportation system, further expanding hub, port, and channel functions.
The Zone aims to promote broader, more comprehensive, and deeper opening-up. It strives to build a main hub in Chongqing for the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor and establish itself as an influential inland open frontier and land port-type comprehensive logistics base in China.
