The Chongqing Wanzhou Comprehensive Bonded Zone, approved by the State Council on January 15, 2021, is the fifth of its kind in Chongqing and the only one in northeastern Chongqing. Located in the Gaofeng Park within the Wanzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, it spans an area of 1.85 square kilometers.

This bonded zone offers excellent connectivity, being close to major urban roads. It is just 6 kilometers from the Enshi-Guangyuan Expressway exit, 7 kilometers from the Chongqing-Wanzhou Expressway exit, 10 kilometers from Wanzhou Railway Station, 15 kilometers from Wanzhou Xintian Port, 26 kilometers from Wanzhou Wuqiao Airport, and 28 kilometers from Wanzhou North High-Speed Railway Station.

Since it began operations, the Wanzhou Comprehensive Bonded Zone has signed 20 projects with a total investment of 2.08 billion yuan. It is home to 40 enterprises, 15 of which have active import and export businesses with countries such as Russia, South Korea, Vietnam, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, the UAE, and Chile.

The zone focuses on leveraging functions such as bonded logistics, bonded processing, cross-border e-commerce, international distribution, and service trade. It promotes bonded goods exhibition and sales, cross-border e-commerce, and bonded warehousing while prioritizing the development of processing trade industries in grain and oil food, advanced materials, automobiles, and parts.

By integrating both international and domestic resources and connecting to global and local markets, the Wanzhou Comprehensive Bonded Zone aims to be the prime destination for foreign investment in northeastern Sichuan and Chongqing. It strives to be a hub for import and export activities and an open platform with distinctive industrial features, comprehensive functional support, an excellent business environment, and thriving international consumption.
