The Chongqing Yongchuan Comprehensive Bonded Zone was approved for establishment by the State Council on July 6, 2021. It is the 152nd comprehensive bonded zone in China and the 6th in Chongqing, covering a planned area of 1.11 square kilometers. The zone officially began operations in June 2023.

The zone focuses on six main industries: automobile and motorcycle exports, high-end CNC machine tools, specialty foods, pharmaceuticals and medical devices, power semiconductors, and cross-border e-commerce.

The goal is to develop advanced industries rapidly, attract leading enterprises, and foster the growth of key technologies. So far, eight projects have been signed and settled in the zone, with 29 key projects under negotiation and more than 50 projects in discussion.

Located in the Chengdu-Chongqing area, the zone is strategically positioned near the Yuxinou (Chongqing-Xinjiang-Europe) railway and the new starting point of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, offering a prime geographical advantage. It acts as a bridge gathering domestic and international resources, connecting both domestic and international markets.

The zone leverages logistics to drive trade and economic development, which in turn promotes industrial growth. Continuously enhancing its capabilities as an open platform, it aims to become a central hub for import-export trade and a testing ground for reform and innovation.

The Chongqing Yongchuan Comprehensive Bonded Zone is working to establish two ten-billion-yuan-level industrial clusters in automobile and motorcycle manufacturing, and power semiconductors. It is developing a vehicle export base to foster new momentum for high-quality development in export-oriented industries.

By improving port functions and integrating with Yongchuan port, Langantan customs supervision, and container handling facilities, it further strengthens regional cargo organization, creating new advantages for goods distribution in southern Sichuan and western Chongqing. Additionally, it enhances industrial service quality and efficiency, accelerating the liberalization and facilitation of investment and trade, and creating a world-class international business environment.
