Since 2020, Shandong and Chongqing have jointly issued the "Key Points of Industrial Collaboration" for five consecutive years and launched the "Shandong-Chongqing Industrial Collaboration · Industrial Internet Matrix" service county series.
The two regions have organized over 50 specialized matchmaking events, facilitated more than 30 exchanges between industry associations, and provided a broad collaboration platform for enterprises from both regions.
Since 2021, Shandong has invested in 120 projects in Chongqing, totaling 60 billion yuan. These projects cover industries like automotive, electronic information, biopharmaceuticals, advanced materials, and intelligent equipment, driving high-quality development in both regions.
Chongqing enterprises are also actively investing in Shandong. In the first quarter of this year, Changan Auto launched a new energy vehicle project in Jinan's Changqing District, with over 2.1 billion yuan in investment. Focusing on new energy buses and components, the project aims to produce 10,000 buses and 30,000 special-purpose vehicles annually by 2025, boosting the local NEV industry.
Future plans include hosting industrial matchmaking, interactive seminars, and on-site observations, which will offer more opportunities for Shandong and Chongqing enterprises to exchange and collaborate.
Additionally, 50 Chongqing companies will visit leading intelligent equipment firms in Shandong, including Weichai Power, Tianrui Heavy Industry, and Haomai Machinery, to further strengthen industrial collaboration.
An official from the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology affirmed their commitment to continuing to build cooperation platforms between Shandong and Chongqing enterprises, aiming to enhance the effectiveness of industrial collaboration.
In the future, both regions' industry and information systems will focus on key sectors like automotive, electronic information, biopharmaceuticals, and equipment manufacturing, fostering deeper cooperation and exploring new industry fields and competitive tracks together.
