This summer, the Sanxingdui Light and Shadow Art Exhibition has been very popular in Chongqing. During the National Day holiday, visitor numbers have continued to rise, a representative from Chongqing Publishing Group, the exhibition's supporting organization, said to Chongqing Daily, adding that experts are invited to provide free explanations of Sanxingdui culture for visitors during the holiday, which lasts from October 1 to 7.
The free guided tour focuses on Sanxingdui culture, blending exhibition content, historical context, and cultural evolution. Guided by experts, visitors can observe classic exhibits and better appreciate the essence of Sanxingdui culture.

According to the digital media outlet The Paper, as of October 2 at 00:40, tickets for the Palace Museum on the morning of October 7 are already fully booked, and tickets for the National Museum of China are sold out until October 8.
Other popular museums in various provinces are similarly in demand. As of the same time, the Nanjing Museum has no available tickets until October 7, the Sanxingdui Museum's daytime tickets are fully booked until October 7, and tickets for the Hunan Museum and Hubei Provincial Museum are sold out until October 6. Additionally, tickets for the Luoyang Museum and the Chinese Archaeological Museum, which require a three-day advance reservation, are also completely booked.
Besides museum tours, shopping centers have also launched special events like music festivals during the National Day holiday, boosting foot traffic and driving a surge in consumption.
In Chongqing, the music festival in Chongqing Tiandi ran from October 1 to 5. The festival was not only a musical feast but also a shopping extravaganza. During the event, Chongqing Tiandi launched several promotions, such as 9.9 yuan ($1.41) vouchers worth 50 yuan and 50 percent off on meals. These offers attracted a large number of residents and tourists for shopping and dining.
A representative from Chongqing Tiandi told Chongqing Daily that during the music festival, Chongqing Tiandi's malls, restaurants, and cafes were crowded with people, and the consumption activity was in full swing.
"In the afternoon, my friend and I came to Chongqing Tiandi for some shopping. Just as we were about to leave, we saw the music festival starting. After watching the performance, it was perfect timing to have dinner here!" a resident, surnamed Wang, told Chongqing Daily.
Meanwhile, nearly 100 themed events took place in Chongqing's Yubei District, including the afternoon music party at Chongqing Joy City and the exhibition at the Yu Gallery in Longfor Park Paradise Walk, offering a diverse range of shopping and entertainment options for both residents and tourists, according to Chongqing Daily.
