Chongqing - The 2024 International Conference on Cooperation and Integration of Industry, Education, Research, and Application opened on Sunday in Chongqing, Southwest China.
The ceremony, which had the theme "Diversify Cooperation and Advance Together; Shape the Future with Industry, Education, Research, and Application," drew nearly 400 guests from 30 countries and regions.
The event featured an international exhibition showcasing unique achievements in industry-education-research collaboration, along with project signings, platform launches, and discussions between Chinese and international experts. In total, ten projects were signed, and 12 new platforms were launched on-site.

He described the conference as a critical platform for fostering deep integration among universities, research institutions, and enterprises worldwide, connecting talent, innovation, and industry networks.
Ma noted that Chongqing will leverage this event to enhance communication and collaboration with both domestic and international partners. The city aims to strengthen high-level scientific innovation hubs, establish advanced talent development platforms, and support the transfer and application of scientific and technological advancements, promoting the high-quality development of global industry-education-research integration.

At the opening ceremony, Xi Ru, Associate Counselor of the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges at the Ministry of Education, emphasized the critical importance of deepening innovation platforms, strengthening collaborative frameworks, and fostering innovative talent to accelerate the integration of industry, education, research, and application.
