The 2025 Land-Sea International Youth Envoys Program has concluded its selection process, naming 1,000 Land-Sea International Youth Envoys, 20 Honor Laureates, and 80 Award of Excellence winners in accordance with the event's statutes and guidelines. The submitted paintings, writings, and video works not only demonstrate representativeness, innovation, and emotional resonance but will also serve as bridges connecting cultures across continents and carrying the friendship of the younger generation.
Launched this February, the program has garnered extensive global engagement from youth worldwide, receiving over 2,000 submissions of paintings, writings, and speech videos from China, North America, Western Europe, as well as Belt and Road countries and regions. This diverse collection vividly demonstrates the younger generation's burgeoning curiosity for diverse civilizations. Following preliminary review, 1,000 entries have advanced to the final selection phase.

The judging process was conducted across three distinct categories: painting, writing, and video submissions. Employing a stratified evaluation approach, judges tailored their assessments to participants' developmental stages, fully respecting the unique characteristics of different age groups. The final selection recognized 32 Awards of Excellence and 8 Honor Laureates in painting, 24 Awards of Excellence and 6 Honor Laureates in writing, and 24 Awards of Excellence and 6 Honor Laureates in the video category.
In order to ensure fairness, impartiality, and professionalism throughout the evaluation process, all shortlisted entries were required to maintain close thematic relevance. Judges placed particular emphasis on accurate comprehension and profound interpretation of the themes, while rigorously verifying originality to decisively preclude plagiarism, thereby guaranteeing the high quality of awarded works.
"As an essay judge, I found 'My Way to School' particularly impressive," remarked Dr. Zhang Jun, PHD in English Language and Literature, Associate Professor, Vice Dean, and Master's Supervisor at Southwest University's College of International Studies. "The narrative brings forth the distinct cultural fabric of Chongqing through such grounded details as climbing steps during the school commute and exchanging greetings with the school guard." He noted that this authentic, relatable storytelling holds strong appeal for youth across cultural divides. Expressing his vision for the initiative, he added, "I look forward to seeing the program reach more campuses, helping young minds broaden their global perspectives, planting the seeds of civilizational dialogue, and further extending the influence of Land-Sea cultural exchanges."

The "Seeking Unity Across Lands and Seas" International Youth Envoys Annual Conference will convene in early December, as confirmed by the organizing committee. The event will gather outstanding youth representatives who have excelled in international exchanges in the mountain city of Chongqing, adopting a hybrid format combining a physical venue and a global livestream. Featuring keynote speeches by Honor Laureates and cultural exchange performances, the conference will showcase annual achievements and confer various honors, collectively ushering in a new chapter for civilizational dialogue and friendship among global youth.
