Chongqing - The 2026 "Brand China Tour" made its national debut in Chongqing on June 25, 2026, with an exchange event held at Changan Global R&D Center in Liangjiang New Area. Co-hosted by Zhonghongwang of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Development and Reform, and the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism Development, the event carried the theme "Brand China·Chongqing Select". As the first stop of this year's national tour, it served as a platform to showcase Chongqing's brand-building achievements and connect local premium brands with broader national markets.

Changan Named National Brand Experience Destination
The event came on the heels of Changan Automobile's selection as one of China's first 30 "Travel With Brand" experience destinations - a joint initiative announced by the NDRC and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the People's Republic of China on China Brand Day (May 10). Changan was the only Chongqing brand to make the list.

Participants toured the Tianshu Intelligent Experiment Center, the core facility of Changan's brand experience destination. The center houses six specialized clusters, including global remote simulation laboratories, cognitive and physiological research labs, and intelligent voice laboratories, covering cutting-edge fields such as automotive R&D simulation, cognitive safety, AI acoustics, and intelligent voice systems.

Three "Firsts" Mark the Event's Significance
NDRC officials noted that selecting Chongqing as the tour's inaugural stop achieved three breakthroughs: the first on-site check-in activity at a "Travel With Brand" experience destination; the first regional release of "Brand China Tour" video series; and the first integration of regional brands into the national experience route.
Brand Stories and Video Premieres
The event premiered nine short videos in three series - Brand China Stories, Brand China Public Welfare, and Brand China Special Features - selected from submissions across Chongqing. The videos span high-end manufacturing, intangible cultural heritage preservation, public welfare initiatives, specialty agriculture, and international connectivity, offering diverse perspectives on the growth of Chongqing brands.

Changan's Vision for Brand Experience
As a representative of the national brand experience destinations, Changan Automobile outlined plans to integrate its Global R&D Center and Tianshu Intelligent Experiment Center into the "Travel With Brand" experience route. The company said it will continue opening core R&D resources, optimizing visitor experience pathways, and enriching interactive content to build a national benchmark that combines cutting-edge technology display, industrial tourism, and comprehensive brand communication.
The selected videos will be broadcast on national platforms to amplify the visibility of Chongqing brands. Looking ahead, Chongqing plans to further implement the national brand-strengthening strategy, improve the business environment, and support more local brands in reaching national and global markets.
