World Biggest Violin Museum Opens in Chongqing

An antique violin at Wanling Violin Museum

Rongchang District, Chongqing - The Wanling Violin Museum, located in Wanling Ancient Town, officially opened to the public Jan.13. Also, with the investment of RMB 590 million, it exhibits over 500 ancient violins and parts from around the world. Besides this, the overall floorage is 8,000 square meters.

Visitors are looking at the collection.

“This violin museum enjoys the largest exhibition area the world has ever seen.” Ye Hao, the curator of the museum, introduced. In addition, the museum has also collected many treasures, including the violins from Amati, Antonio Stradivari, Andrea Guarneri, Jacob Steiner, and other famous violin families. Therefore, all the exhibits enjoy considerable artistic connotation and antique value.

There is also a live show in the museum.

Meanwhile, one of the valuable exhibits is from Antonio Stradivari, a great Italian luthier. Additionally, the masterpiece also enjoys the history of over 300 years.
