The 8th Chongqing International Cultural Industry Expo (CICIE) will be held from September 12 to 15 at Chongqing International Expo Center. Thirty-eight districts and counties (autonomous counties) of Chongqing are going to gather at N1 Hall, displaying an attractive immersive cultural feast to visitors.

Works of Qi Baishi and Zhang Daqian will visit Beibei Exhibition Hall

Beibei Exhibition Hall is themed on natural and cultural landscapes. The main and floor screens will display Jindaoxia and other sceneries in Beibei District. Unique sights of the Northern Hot Springs are also embedded in the overall design to impress visitors.

Beibei Library is expected to bring Celestial Peaches drawn by Qi Baishi and Arya Avalokiteshvara with Kalasa by Zhang Daqian to CICIE, unveiling cultural attractiveness of Beibei District to tourists. People can also enjoy national intangible cultural heritage, such as face changing and fire breathing of Sichuan Opera at the Exhibition Hall. Other performances include the ones from the Liangjiang Art Troupe and Southwest University.

Appreciate performance culture of Banan District with VR

Banan Exhibition Hall integrates colorful lights, creative display, and vibrant exhibits. It sets up a VR Interactive Experience Zone, where people can understand virtual reality simulation, man-machine interaction, and other cutting-edge technologies through VR and holographic laser projection technology.

At the Special Performance Zone featuring immersive performance, visitors can understand the culture and history of Ba Manzi, inherit the spirit of loyalty prevalent in Bayu and experience performance culture of Banan District.

Fengjie exhibits Return to Three Gorges  at CICIE

Design of the Fengjie Exhibition Hall is based on poetry about the county and the performance Return to Three Gorges. Relying on objects, words, pictures, videos, and performances, the Exhibition Hall displays natural landscapes, cultures, tourism resources of Fengjie County.

At the specially-established performance zone, people will enjoy Return to Three Gorges jointly created by the county and Zhang Yimou team. The performance reveals grand sceneries of the Three Gorges, unique customs of Chongqing and profound cultural background of Fengjie County in the environment consisting of Kuimen Gate, Qutang Gorge and Baidicheng (White Emperor City). The story is strung by Chinese poetry.

Fengjie Exhibition Hall will also launch online and offline quiz, offering tickets for Return to Three Gorges, Baidicheng, Tiankeng & Difeng Scenic Area and other creative culture prizes.
