On November 7, the Upper Yangtze River City Flower Art Expo(abbreviated as the City Flower Expo) will kick off in a grand manner at the Jiangbeizui CBD, Chongqing. This city flower expo themed with “Future City and Beautiful Life”. It will bring a visual banquet featuring flower V.S. city, art and future to the guests from home and abroad.

Five Purposes of Flowers Industry

The city flower expo has five purposes.

Firstly, it aims to implement the important strategy of Chongqing in West China Development.

Secondly, it will promote the green belt development. It is the key regions in the ecological development of the upstream of Yangtze River. In addition, it is a Yangtze River Economic Zone, and it develops the green development theory of “Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets”.

Thirdly, the purpose is to advance the inter-city exchanges, enhance the interaction, exchanges and integrated development among cities in the development new pattern featuring “One Axis, Two Wings, Three Poles and Multiple Points”.

Next, the fourth purpose is to showcase the unique city glamor of Chongqing as a city of scenery and a land of beauty and the tourism brand effect of “A Journey to New Accomplishments” and build the great city image of “Appealing to People Far and Wide”.

The last but not the least, the fifth purpose is employ flowers as the messenger to bring the flower art into the life of the people to improve the quality of citizens and strengthen the development of socialist culture and ethics.

Therefore, in the eyes of the steering committee of the city flower expo, the five perspectives passed on by the city flower expo will add more content to the green development of Chongqing.

 

Glamorous Flowers Demonstrate the Sample of Beautiful Life

At the opening ceremony, the past flower exhibitions has emphasized the variety of flowers and industrial demonstrations. At present, this city flower expo is co-organized by Chongqing Urban Management Bureau, Chongqing Municipal Commission of Culture and Tourism, Chongqing Municipal Women’s Federation, and Jiangbei District People’s Government. It focuses on the application of flowers in the enhancement of city quality, and pays close attention to the need of the people for flower culture and quality life. Generally, it is originally and culturally unique.

It is learned that as the exhibition site of this city flower expo, Jiangbei district is making great efforts to develop the guest-room of Chongqing. In addition, it is strengthening the achievement of developing national cultural district. All departments of Jiangbei District make efforts in adding color with flowers, building landscape with gardens and woods. It is in a bid to comprehensively improve the civic greening landscape quality of important nodes and regions. Since the beginning of this year, Jiangbei District has improved a total of 1.07 million square meters of green land. It planted 1.34 million troves of flowers and bushes, and put in place 1.66 million pots of flowers. A group of characteristic blocks with time-honored history, rich culture and beautiful scenery will appear one after another.
