自2018年5月起担任亚洲航空集团核心航空事业部门之一AAV以及旗下TAA的执行主席。同时作为亚洲航空中国及印尼的CEO,负责监督亚洲航空在这些市场的增长。
在出任AAV和TAA执行主席之前,TASSAPON曾在2003年TAA成立以后担任该公司的CEO。
截至2018年,亚洲航空拥有5,000多名员工,包括空中客车A320-200、A320neo在内,总计拥有62架飞机。其中,TAA在14个国家、超过66个城市开通航线,成立以来运送了1亿3500多万名乘客。
在加入TAA之前,TASSAPON在5年里担任华纳音乐集团(Warner Music Group)旗下泰国当地法人的常务董事,推动华纳音乐成为泰国首位的国际音乐公司。在华纳音乐与亚洲航空集团CEO托尼•费尔南德斯(Tony Fernandes)相识,遂决定进入廉价航空公司行业。这成为将TAA培育为泰国最大廉航的契机。在加入亚洲航空之前,还曾在消费品行业工作12年以上。
TASSAPON以卓越的领导能力和团队构建能力而闻名,其商业哲学是强调激发企业所有部门之间的乘积效应的重要性。TAA的成功也是源自充满情热和干劲的团队,以及和谐的“敢想敢干”精神。TASSAPON取得了营销硕士学位,目前还在泰国主要的大学担任兼职讲师。
Tassapon Bijleveld was appointed Executive Chairman of Asia Aviation Plc. (AAV) and Thai AirAsia Co.,Ltd. (TAA) in May 2018. He oversees executive policy for AirAsia Thailand in the interest of sustainable growth. He was also appointed AirAsia China and Indochina Chief Executive Officer and is entrusted to supervise AirAsia’s growth in those markets.
Prior to his appointment as AAV and TAA Executive Chairman, Mr. Tassapon had been CEO of AirAsia Thailand since the company was established in 2003. In that role, he was responsible for overseeing all aspects of AirAsia’s operations and growth in Thailand.
As of 2018, the airline has over 5,000 employees, and a total of 62 aircraft
consisting of 50 Airbus A320-200 and 12 Airbus A320neo. AirAsia Thailand flies to over 66 destinations in 14 countries and has carried over 135 million passengers since its inception.
Before joining AirAsia Thailand, Tassapon was Managing Director of Warner Music (Thailand) Co Ltd for five years. Within three years, he turned the company around and positioned Warner Music (Thailand) at the top among international music companies in the country.
It was also at Warner Music where he met AirAsia Group CEO Tan Sri (Dr.) Tony Fernandes. Tassapon took a leap of faith and decided to try his luck in the low-cost airline industry, which was still a new and revolutionary concept at the time. His willingness to learn from scratch and his can-do attitude have led AirAsia Thailand to become the largest low-cost carrier in Thailand.
Prior to AirAsia, Tassapon had more than 12 years of experience in the consumer product industry, working in various countries in Asean for two Fortune 500 companies - Adams (Thailand) Co Ltd and Monsanto (Thailand) Co Ltd. He spent five years with Monsanto as a pioneer, building it into a multi-million dollar business in just a few years. He began his career as an Assistant Product Manager in the confectionery division of Warner-Lambert Thailand Ltd, then became Senior Product Manager with several posts in Asia.
Tassapon is well-known for his leadership and team-building ability. His business philosophy emphasises the successful synergy between all departments within the company. AirAsia Thailand’s success is a result of a passionate, motivated team with strong rapport and can-do spirit. Tassapon holds a Master’s degree in Marketing, and is currently a part–time lecturer in several leading universities in Thailand.
