China Intelligence Valley (Chongqing) Science Park (hereinafter referred to as “iValley”) has achieved an investment contract amount of over RMB 100 billion in a single year.

On March 20, Nan’an District held the Signing Ceremony for 2019 Investment Projects. With 38 projects signed, the contract amount reached over RMB 40.8 billion. 30 of them settled down in the iValley unveiled on February 7 last year.  There was a signing ceremony of nearly 100 projects, with a total amount of over RMB 100 billion. As a result, the iValley is developing itself into an important platform for Nan’an District to transform growth drivers and adjust industrial structure.

Additionally, it is also a shot in the arm for the transformation and adjustment. With an area of about 98 square kilometers, the iValley includes Jiangnan New District and Nanshan area. The core zone covers an area of 48 square kilometers. And led by the 1.17-square-kilometer reserve zone, it strives for the development across Chongqing Economic and Technological Development Zone (CQETDZ).

The iValley boasts numerous open platforms such as CQETDZ, the part of China (Chongqing) Pilot Free Trade Zone in Nan’an District, and China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity. That is also one of the reasons why it has received the favor of leading enterprises.

According to the Investment Promotion Bureau of Nan’an District, the iValley aims to realize a total industry scale of over RMB 200 billion by 2025.

According to the principal, “This year, we will focus our investment on big data, massive health and global ecology. Moreover, we will expand the number of formally signed contracts with the amount up to RMB 160 billion. Two thirds of the projects are expected to settle down in the iValley.”

“In the future, the iValley will take the lead in boosting the rapid economic development in Nan’an District, and then become the new growth point to promote the innovative development on a larger scale. This is what we can look forward to.” The principal told us.
