Chongqing - The new Foreign Investment Law of the People’s Republic of China was reviewed and approved on March 15th, 2019, and will come into effect on January 1st, 2020, replacing the 3 existing ones and serving as the basic law for the field as China continues to open up in the new era.
The SW China Chapter of the European Chamber of Commerce and Zhonghao Law Firm jointly held a seminar in Chongqing on the subject of Interpretation of Foreign Investment Law and Legal Risk Prevention for Foreign Investment Enterprises on March 27th.
A great number of personnel from foreign companies and institutions in Chongqing attended the seminar to hear about the interpretation of the new Foreign Investment Law.
Zhonghao Partner Eagle Yang Qing, Sara Li Shuang, and Consultant Lawyer Ray Lsu Ruixin have thoroughly interpreted the Foreign Investment Law during the Seminar. They made a detailed analysis of the risks that are likely to occur in the process of IP protection and commercialization of IP rights.
“The new changes in Foreign Investment Law are very encouraging and promising. The trend is in the right direction.” Said Mr. Daniel Duane, Registered Foreign Lawyer of de Bedin & Lee SOLICITORS, to iChongqing after the Seminar.
