200 Competitors Challenge the Vertical Marathon

At 9:00 am on December 2, the Chongqing “LAWSON” vertical marathon was held at Chongqing World Financial Center (WFC) in Jiefangbei, Yuzhong District. The competition set up a men’s team and a women’s team with nearly 200 players, including three foreigners from Japan. They gathered to challenge the first tallest building in the west, which is 73 stories high and has a vertical height of 339 meters.

The starting point is on the first floor of WFC. Players need to follow the referee to start in order. There are punching points at the starting point, 26th floor, 41st floor, 55th floor, and the 73rd floor. Players must punch in order to get the final effective score.

WFC is located in the center of Jiefangbei Central Business District. With a total of 2,040 steps, the building has a height of 339 meters and an altitude of 590 meters. It is the landmark building in Chongqing and the tallest building in Chongqing and in western China.

At the end-point, after the players received the commemorative medals, they were still lingering around, and they took advantage of this opportunity to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Chongqing and take pictures.
