“Chiyou Jiuli City” Cup 2019 Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao Outdoor Challenge—Pengshui Station kicked off on July 6. Over 1,200 outdoor sports enthusiasts from mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao competed for awards valuing 200,000 RMB in total during the two-day games.

Over 1,200 outdoor sports enthusiasts participated

A 50 km cross-country race, 13 km challenge race and 6 km fitness race were held on July 6 and 26 km cross-country cycling on July 7. The highest prize money for one competition item reached 12,000 RMB.

The 50 km cross-country race is a traditional event. Players started from Chiyou Jiuli City, a National AAAA Tourist Attraction, and went through roads, mountain roads, gravel roads, mud roads, and grassland to reach the finish. The elevation difference topped 2,000 meters. 13 km challenge race and 6 km fitness race are newly added items, aiming to attract more people to the thrilling outdoor sports, and boost mass games and fitness programs in Pengshui. 26 km cross-country cycling was held within the Mowei Mountain, a National AAAA Tourist Attraction.
