On June 18, the Vibrant-Pucheng Multi-modal Transportation and Intelligent Logistics Park  (the Logistics Park for short) officially started construction in Yufu Industrial Development Zone of Liangjiang New Area. It covers an area of about 217,333 square meters, with an investment of 250 million USD.

Logistics Park is one of the projects of the China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity (CCI). By virtue of the water-land-air-rail multimodal transportation system of Liangjiang New Area, it will strengthen the radiation and agglomeration effect of Chongqing on Western China and build Chongqing into a central international logistics hub and a port highland as well as an exemplary model for interior opening-up policy.

Three intelligent bases for co-building intelligent logistics

The Logistics Park will see eight warehouses and one complex building designed with Singapore’s advanced logistics park planning concept. The double-deck design of the warehouse improves land utilization, and it allows heavy trucks to directly load and discharge the cargo on the second floor, which significantly enhances the turnover efficiency in the warehouse with faster loading & unloading and shorter manual carrying distance.

The Logistics Park, with intelligence as a highlight, can achieve intelligent parking, registration, and positioning of vehicles, as well as real-time transmission of traffic conditions in the park. Moreover, it’s going to introduce the concept of the Internet of Things to carry out real-time monitoring of energy, traffic, and the environment in the park.

Operation sites covering over 100 countries

The Logistics Park has enjoyed three business segments of international multimodal transportation, internal transportation, and intercity supply chain. It achieves the multi-level coverage of its core business in the global market. At present, its operation sites in over 100 countries like France, Italy, and the UK can provide customers with services via air, sea, and railway.

Markets along New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor are also among the critical areas of the Logistics Park. It has now achieved full coverage of key ports in Singapore, Vietnam, India, and other Southeast Asian countries.

Domestically, Chongqing Vibrant Pucheng International Logistics Co., Ltd. has gathered more than 300 logistics enterprises and constructed 987 logistics trunk lines connecting national core cities, realizing direct delivery of goods nationwide.

Building an international logistics hub in inland China

As the sole municipality directly under the central government in Western China, Chongqing enjoys prominent geographical advantages and valuable strategic position, making it an important strategic city for the Western Development Strategy.

Relying on the global layout of Singapore’s Vibrant Group and Figtree Group in logistics, the Logistics Park aims to construct a multimodal transportation demonstration base with an efficient connection of facilities, rapid transfer in hubs, interconnected and shared information, standard and professional equipment and integrated services. In this way, Chongqing will become an international logistics hub in inland China.
