Situated in Yubei District of downtown Chongqing,  the museum provides the public with a platform to learn about the traditional farming culture. During the daytime, it is an ideal choice to go to the market, eat local foods, as well as buy creative farm products. When the Homestay Hotel is open to the public in the next year or so, visitors will have a chance to hear hustling and bustling here, seeking for the nostalgia in their memories.

Original Ancient Street

“Bayu Nostalgia” is located in Xinglong Extended Area, Yubei National Agricultural and Technology Zone. Bordering China National Highway 351 in the south, South-North Highway (main road) in the east and New Area of Xinglong Town in the west, it is contiguous to the Jiangbei International Airport. It takes about a one-hour drive from here to the core area of Chongqing.

Composed of southern and northern parts, this project covers an area of about 3,000 Mu, 0.2km2. It aims to reshape a new charming country and keep the memory of nostalgia. Integrated with numerous aspects, such as agriculture, culture, tourism, and commerce, it integrates the city into nature so urban dwellers can enjoy the view of mountains and waters and are reminded of their hometowns.

The Museum  offers a relaxing place for people to enjoy

Near the mountain and by the river, the museum stands tranquility and leisurely on the place where the paths crisscrossed in the fields. Walking on the winding flagstone-covered path, tourists can appreciate the village’s most primitive look.

Next to the rural landscape road are Ficus, peach trees and pear trees. And next year, the mountain will be covered with the blooming flowers. There will be a wonderful farmland landscape in Colored Leaf Valley. After playing, visitors can take a rest at the station featuring the culture of “Bayu Nostalgia”.

Four exhibition areas of the Chongqing Xiangchou Museum

A residential building covered with Chinese-style tiles lies among mountains and rivers. It is “Chongqing Nostalgia Museum” that opens first. With a total area of more than 2,000 square meters, it consists of four main areas, including Childhood Memory, Institute for Rural Revitalization (Rural Library), Planning and Exhibition Hall for Bayu Nostalgia, as well as Exhibition Area for Cultural and Agricultural Creative Products.

The museum boasts the sculpture during the building process of the traditional dwellings in East Sichuan, and showcases of farming culture, farm tools, etc.

In addition, due to the combination of intelligent display and art, it succeeds in keeping the nostalgic memories and also drawing the attention of young people. The Exhibition Area for Cultural and Agricultural Creative Products offers a variety of distinctive agricultural products.

After the unified packaging and design, sightseers can purchase them as “souvenirs”.

After opening in the future, “Bayu Nostalgia” Homestay Hotel is expected to accommodate over 800 tourists.
