Economic and trade contact among countries along the Belt and Road routes has driven the exchanges of skilled professionals and intensified the related activities. Recently, 698 competitors from 44 countries and regions gathered in Chongqing and competed fiercely in the Belt and Road International Skills Competition (BRISC), which features high requirements on skills, intense competition, and full communication among the players.

In recent years, skilled professionals have received growing recognition. To cultivate local adepts required by society, Chongqing has taken meticulous efforts. It holds over a hundred activities for skill introduction and promotion in villages, communities, and families every year, and deepens the international exchanges and cooperation on skills. Meanwhile, Chongqing also sets up the cooperation model featuring joint training by schools and enterprises and integrated work and study, in which 806 enterprises are in cooperation with technician institutes. The annual number of graduates under this model is about 30,000.

As international communication is becoming critical for talent training, we stress importing professionals, as well as going global. During the BRISC, 57 domestic and overseas enterprises have reached 42 agreements, planning to develop university-enterprise cooperation, co-building training bases, and other initiatives.

From May 26 to 31, 698 players from 44 countries and regions came to Chongqing for skill competition. Besides the Automobile Technology, the competition projects also cover Electronics Water Technology, Freight Forwarding, Bricklaying, Electrical Installations, Joinery, Painting and Decorating, Plumbing and Heating, Information Network Cabling, Fashion Technology, Floristry, Bakery, Beauty Therapy, Cooking (western cuisine), Hairdressing, Health and Social Care, and Restaurant Service.

Some ornamental ones attracted lots of visitors, and quite a few companies are staying on site to headhunt. On May 28 and 29, there were 43,000 visitors on site in total.
