The bullet-train directly from Chongqing to Hong Kong, named G319/320, running through Chongqing-Guiyang High-speed Railway, Guiyang-Guangzhou Passenger Dedicated Line and Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong High-Speed Railway, takes 7 hours and 37 minutes.

A month ago, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and Hong Kong enterprises held the Building for the Future · Chongqing-Hong Kong Forum under the theme of Building for the Future in Chongqing. Enterprise representatives from Hong Kong in architectural design, urban planning, real estate development, innovative technology, and other fields gathered in the mountain city for joint development with Chongqing enterprises.
During the forum, the delegation availed itself of the opportunity of the Western China International Fair for Investment and Trade to carry out a series of business matchmaking and inspection activities for promoting exchanges and cooperation between enterprises and governments of the two cities.

The person in charge of Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce said that Chongqing Municipal People’s Government always attached great importance to the economic and trade exchanges with Hong Kong, and the municipal leaders had visited Hong Kong multiple times. Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce and other relevant departments regularly organize districts and counties and critical enterprises to participate in key exhibitions and carry out project negotiations in Hong Kong. Besides, the Liaison Office of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in Chongqing and related institutions also hold annual symposiums centered on finance, logistics, real estate and the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) to share investment opportunities and advance bilateral investment cooperation.
On September 3 last year, Chongqing Hong Kong Forum 2018 was held in Hong Kong, at which 24 key cooperative projects were signed, with a total investment of RMB 62.1 billion.
At the forum, with the theme of Deepening Cooperation between Chongqing and Hong Kong for Win-Win Development , Zhang Zhikui, Director of Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce, promoted in depth to Hong Kong people from all walks of life Chongqing’s good development trend, broad market space, superior traffic conditions, perfect open platforms, convenient investment and trade environment and beautiful natural environment to fully display the investment environment of the Mountain City and share strategic opportunities.

Relying on the respective advantages of the two cities, Chongqing will make exploration and innovation in cooperation systems and mechanisms to better integrate the two sides into and promote the construction of the BRI.
It will apply Hong Kong’s advanced experience to the platform of China (Chongqing) Pilot Free Trade Zone (CFTZ), to further explore and implement free trade systems in finance, foreign exchange, investment and entry and exit administration that are in line with internationally-accepted practice.
Under the framework of the Closer Economic Partnership Arrangement (CEPA), it will step up cooperation in professional services, further promote the matchmaking of trade flows and industries, share resources for scientific research and innovation, and unleash enormous energy for innovation and entrepreneurship.
It also plans to actively carry out tourism and cultural exchanges for closer people-to-people ties.
