Chongqing Art Museum

Chongqing Art Museum was established in the former Chongqing Academy of Painting in Yuzhong Distrcit. It was completed and opened in October 2013 to the public for free.

The museum has a building area of 8,200 square meters and four exhibition halls. And it is positioned to exhibit traditional Chinese paintings, oil paintings, prints, and small sculptures, as well as photographic art, body art, decorative art, performance art, and handicrafts.

The museum can hold exhibitions of domestic and foreign arts and crafts, and organize various cultural and artistic exchange activities.

Almost all important art exhibitions were held here, the museum has been influencing residents and art workers in the city.

Except for the large-scale exhibitions, the museum's 25 glass houses can also host individual exhibitions for artists. Each glass room covers an area of nearly 100 square meters and has a floor-to-ceiling window of nearly 20 square meters. Residents outside the museum can also see another kind of art.
