The Outcomes Report of the first Smart China Expo (SCE) was released right before the second session. Within just one year, Chongqing saw 809 newly-signed projects in the smart industry.

Chen Jinshan, Director of Chongqing Economy and Information Commission, said SCE positively stimulated economic and social development, and industrial transformation in Chongqing, bringing satisfying effects. Big data and intellectualization industry have realized growth rate of 16.8% since the first half of 2019.

After the first SCE, the city saw the signing of 809 new projects in smart industry, accounting for 52.3% of the total new industrial projects. The investment of 676.6 billion yuan took up 58.7% of the overall investment in industrial projects.
In transformation and upgrading of the smart manufacturing sector, last year, 825 smart projects welcomed change, of which 622 were finished in the first half of 2019. As a result, production efficiency was increased by 68.7%, and defect rate, operating cost and energy consumption per unit of production reduced by 38.6%, 20.8%, and 17.2% respectively.

The 2019 SCE will exhibit the latest fruits of intelligent development worldwide, besides the achievements of the previous session.

The Organizing Committee is expected to make full use of SCE, the authoritative platform for the exhibition of results and trends of global smart technologies, to appoint individual people to release news continuously, and to hold series of launching activities.

Departments like Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and Xinhua News Agency, and think tanks including International Organization for Standardization, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology and State Information Center will issue China Big Data Application Development Report (2019), China Intellectual Development Report (2019), China 5G Application Development White Paper (2019), Data Supply Chain White Paper, Global Program of Action for the Future Network, and other industrial standards, reports and white papers covering such fields as 5G technology, information security, AI and Industrial Internet.

SCE will also be a platform for countries (regions), international sister cities, China’s provinces, cities, and autonomous regions, global industrial leading enterprises, municipal-level departments and districts (counties), and over 300 attending enterprises to promote, exchange and share new products and technologies. A flood of launching and exchanging activities, collective projects signing ceremonies and other events will also visit the 2019 SCE.
