The 24 Solar Terms, a time-keeping system developed over centuries through the observation of the sun's annual motion, encompass celestial phenomena, seasonal changes, and natural rhythms. Recognized as China's “Fifth Great Invention,” the 24 Solar Terms were inscribed on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2016.
Welcome to this special video series, presented by the Western China International Communication Organization and the Chongqing China Three Gorges Museum, which combines ancient Chinese wisdom with modern AI technology. Drawing on the museum's rich collection of artifacts and poetic explanations of each solar term, it offers an in-depth exploration of this cultural treasure. Join us on a journey to discover the beauty and wisdom of the 24 Solar Terms.
