Chongqing - Chongqing, as a new metropolis in the world, embraces abundant natural resources. This article will offer a four-day trip to be in touch with nature and culture in Chongqing. Moreover, this article will present the route of the outside spots of downtown Chongqing, like Dazu Rock Carvings, Locajoy Theme Park, Chashan Zhuhai, and Simian Mountain.
For the first day, touring Dazu Rock Carving Scenic Area to learn about the cultural deposits as well as nature in Chongqing. Located in Dazu County, the Rock Carving presents delicate craft in the past. It was on the list on the World Heritage Site in 1999.
Dazu Rock Carving is a world cultural heritage site and one of the eight famous Buddhist carvings in the world. It is the catch-all term of all Buddhist carvings located in Dazu district of the southwest part of China. So far, there are 75 grottos announced as heritage units.

After touring the cultural deposits, you can try Youting Fish (fishes from Youting Town). It is a classic Chongqing dish with chilies and other side dishes, highlighting the fresh and tasty of fishes, without the fishy taste. In addition, you can choose a hotel in Dazu County, comforting and relaxing yourself to end the day.
For the second day, the Locajoy Theme Park is a good choice to relax. There are the roller coaster, carousel, zoo, and so on there. The Clown Festival, which is a new year event, is giving joy to visitors, until the end of February.
It is the only theme park project which obtains recognition of the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government. There are 4 regions inside the park: Global Village, Happy World, Wildlife World, and Locajoy Liangjiang Hotel. Furthermore, the theme park usually holds different events for festivals, such as Halloween, Christmas, and so on.

The theme park is ready for you to tour a whole day. There are restaurants and hotel inside the park so that you can have lunch and dinner there. Due to the theme park has a hotel area, you can live in the park, getting enough rest to be ready for the trip of the next day.
After exploring the culture and pleasure of Chongqing, embracing nature and taking a break is the best choice. There is a place, famous for its natural skyline and relevant products. Chasha Zhuhai, located near the Locajoy Theme Park, is proud of tea and bamboo. Tea tofu (tofu boiled with tea) and chicken soup with bamboo shoots are recommended.
Chongqing Yongchuan Chashan Zhuhai (Tea Mountain and Bamboo Forest) is the sea of green. Meanwhile, it is on the list, as one of the most unique national parks. This is where they filmed the outdoor scenes of the film “House of Flying Daggers”.

For the last day of this route, Simian Mountain in Jiangjin District is recommended for you. This place is not only abundant of green plants but also a place of love. At the same time with tasting the love story there, you can also enjoy the nature in Chongqing here in Simian Mountain.
Simian Mountain is a place full with love stories. There is a fairy tales about a metaphor of a couple live separately that meet once a year made a Chinese Valentines in middle of July. Meanwhile, there is also a true love story happened in contemporary Simian Mountain about the Steps to the Heaven, the story indicated the couple lives separately from the society in order to hide from the crowds and gossip and they built steps to their house on the hill.
