Chongqing Holds Huge Concert to Celebrate "River Culture"

People enjoyed the Concert of World Great River on November 8 night

The 9th China Yangtze River Three Gorges International Tourism Festival is a significant event in Chongqing. Both Chongqing Municipal People’s Government and the Hubei Provincial People’s Government organized this event. As one of the key parts of the festival, the Concert of World's Great River has held on November 8. In addition, Al Bano Carrisi presents an amazing Nessun Dorma to the public at in the end.

The Characteristic Concert with River Culture

The most unique element of the concert was the “river culture”. There were 4 episodes of the event, including prologue, spirit, charm, and dream. The concert was on the background of the Yangtze River, the city, as well as cruises. It reflected elements of the city and the culture here.

ANÚNA, the National Chamber Choir of Ireland, represents the River Shannon

Otherwise, the event invited performing teams, which came from countries or regions along with large rivers in the world. Mariachi Divas of Mexico, Rhythm City of the United States, ANÚNA (the National Chamber Choir of Ireland), etc. came to enrich the event. Moreover, famous individual artists like Dai Yuqiang, Lv Wei, etc. illuminated it, too. Furthermore, the organizing committee invited the famous Italian musician Al Bano Carrisi to give the closing performance. Every international performance team represented a large river in their hometown.
