TNT Band was formed in Chongqing in 2009, by vocalists Taras and Tata, keyboard Dima, bass Jay, guitarist James and drummer Vlad. From Ukraine and Venezuela, they met in Chongqing and bonded by deep love for music.
Vocalists Taras and Tata are a couple. Taras was the champion of Voice of Ukraine in 2013 and Tata used to be hostess in Ukraine TV programs. The talented couple together with other band members always rock the Chongqing audience by their great performance. What’s more, they have also learnt popular Chinese songs to surprise their lovely audience.
TNT has gained great popularity in Chongqing. There are lots of opportunities of commercial performing activities for the band in the thriving city. The band is often invited to perform in music festivals like Chongqing International Music and Beer Festival, opening ceremonies, etc. It is also the house band of Music House Café and Bar.
We met them in iChongqing Carnival Mix Music Festival before their performance. Tata was a very pretty woman with blond hair and as she speaks better English than the rest of the band, she was the spokesman for the band during the interview. As the drummer was absent due to preparing the stage, there were five of them took our interview. They shared with us stories of the band, their life in Chongqing, the opportunities the city held for them, the inspirations they found for their music works here etc. From the interview, we could feel the passion the band members had for music, the confidence in the performance as well as the satisfaction in life here.
After the interview, we got a chance to watch TNT Band’s performance in 2018 iChongqing Carnival Mix Music Festival. It was so amazing and all the audience went crazy for them. At the end when they sang a popular Chinese song, all the audience were singing with them and waving the phone with light on. That was a very touching scene.
