China’s Urban Downhill Mountain Biking Race Takes Place in Chongqing

The extreme sport - downhill mountain biking (abbreviated as DH) - is a genre of mountain biking practiced on steep, rough terrain that often features jumps, drops, rock gardens and other obstacles. DH racing stands as the ultimate balance of calculated risk and confidence in one's ability.

The first show of China’s Urban Downhill Mountain Biking Race held in Fengjie County of Chongqing is anything but ordinary.

It sets its competition field in Fengjie County of Chongqing, which again increases its adventurous features. Take a walk around the county and you will easily find huge terrain drops, winding rampways, sharp turns around, which is perfect for DH.

The urban DH race, held on the second day of CHINA X3 International Extreme Sports Season – Bicycle Challenge, takes advantage of Fengjie County’s wavy terrain and arranges a breath taking route.The route covers 1.68 km, with 154 meters difference in vertical height. Nothing but Sharp turns, risky rampways are all the way. The width of stairs in some parts is less than one meter.

Almost 50 participants from Taiwan, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangxi, Chongqing,etc. represent an exclaimed racing performance.
