Chongqing - The 2019 Regional Leaders Meeting of Shanghai Cooperation Organization will take place in Chongqing in May this year. Before the major event, SCO delegation paid a visit to Chongqing for the preparation of the meeting from Feb. 26-27.
Mr. Kanavskiy Sergey, the Executive Secretary of SCO Business Council, was in the delegation. On Feb. 27, he met up with the Deputy Secretary of Municipal Committee of the CPC-Reng Xuefeng and leaders of Chongqing Municipality-Wang Fu and Liu Guiping. The productive visit also covered Chongqing’s outstanding enterprises such as Zongshen Industrial Group, Chongqing Sunfeel Industrial Group, and Belarus Culture and Tourism Products Promotion Center, which helped the delegation to get familiar with the economic development and social environment of Chongqing.

Mr. Kanavskiy has been to Chongqing over 3 times for the cooperation between Chongqing and SCO business council. “Here in Chongqing, you can find good project concerning trade and culture.” He said to iChongqing during the delegation's visit to the Belarus Culture and Tourism Products Promotion Center in Chongqing.
Mr. Kanavskiy shared his opinion on Chongqing’s advantages of holding the Regional Leaders Meeting of SCO. “Chongqing has a very good relationship with other regions of SCO countries. It is a city along the Belt and Road. It is one of the points to enlarge our relationship with countries in Asia as well as other regions. Chongqing got good infrastructure projects. Businessmen and officials here are looking forward to enlarging the relationship with other countries.” He describes.
“It’s an amazing city, very good and interesting. People are very nice here.” He added.
