On March 24, Dazu Rock Carvings Museum witnessed the official opening of the “Millennium Dialogue – 2019 Fashion Art International Guest Exhibition and Dazu Rock Carvings Fashion Creative Design Effect Picture Competition”. The event gathered global renowned fashion designers and their cutting-edge fashion works.

The exhibition was sponsored by International Fashion Art Network (IFAN).
The event welcomed a total of 50 artists from nine countries/regions, including the United States, France, South Korea, Germany, Sweden, as well as Taiwan and Hong Kong, with more than 70 pieces of works.

“Fashion art, as a new artistic style, has opened up a new face in the art field.” Key-Sook Geum, President of IFAN and the professor at Hongik University, said in her speech that, fashion art activities aimed to build a bridge of friendship among artists from all countries, bring new and profound artistic enjoyment, and jointly uncover the millennial fashion art and discuss the human civilization.

Based on the theme of “Cultural Heritage and Fashion Art”, artists and fashion art scholars conducted in-depth dialogues in four consecutive forums.
Over 30 artists from Sweden, South Korea, Germany and France, as well as experts and scholars from domestic universities and professional design institutions attended the forums.
Artists present believed that the exhibition held in the scenic area of Dazu Rock Carvings offered an opportunity for designers to capture the profound traditional and cultural characteristics of the Carvings with their keen artistic sense, and to endow the Carvings with new artistic expression forms, thus invigorating the ancient history and culture. The exhibition has built a bridge for artists from all over the world.
Meanwhile, artists all see the market-oriented as a must for fashion art in the pursuit of art, like literature and movies. They agreed to strengthen exchanges and promote a cross-border dialogue of fashion art in years to come, thus enriching fashion art elements with the excellent traditional culture of China.
