Italy has 46 foreign-invested enterprises in Chongqing
Economic and trade investment is the main aspect. According to Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce, as of the end of February 2019, Chongqing had established 46 Italian foreign-invested enterprises with a total contractual foreign capital of USD 66.57 million and an actual foreign capital of USD 37.69 million.
Italian investment in Chongqing mainly involves manufacturing, real estate, wholesale and retail.

In fact, just as Italy invests in Chongqing, Chongqing enterprises also make investments in Italy.

Italy boasts a long history of chili pepper growing and has a unique chili pepper institute in the world. As the hotpot capital of China, chili pepper is the most common product and industry in Chongqing.
After Expo 2015 in Milan, Dezhuang Group enhanced its cooperation with Italy. Together with Mr. Giuseppe Carta, an Italian and the most famous sculptor in Europe, the Group built a chili pepper statue at the Guanyinqiao Pedestrian Street.
Li Dejian, Chairman of Dezhuang Group, said that the Group initiated the registration of the World Chili Alliance in Rome. Additionally, Morals Village visited, exchanged and hosted forums with Italian chili pepper growers, distributors and the chili pepper institute.

Next, Dezhuang Group is gearing up for a joint-stock transformation of a food factory in Rome. The two sides have already negotiated the establishment of a Chinese seasoning factory in Rome. Various efforts are advancing.
In this September, Dezhuang Group will leave for Italy to participate in the chili festival in Italy.
Italian auto experts will come to Chongqing for exchanges in this May
In May this year, the China (Chongqing) International Cooperation Forum on New Energy Vehicle Industry will kick off in Liangjiang New Area, Chongqing. The event is sponsored by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the Chongqing Municipal People’s Government, and Regional Government of Lombardy.
This event aims to provide the auto insiders with up-to-date and advanced information of new-energy vehicles and to keep abreast of the development trend and technologies. The exchange and cooperation with Italian industry elites will help to improve Chongqing’s influence as an international city and promote its industrial transformation and upgrading.
