Co-construction Agreement of International People-to-People Exchange (Chongqing) Experimental Park Signed

On March 27, the co-construction agreement of the International People-to-People Exchange (Chongqing) Experimental Park was signed in Chongqing to build a headquarters base and featured parks, cultivate Chinese and foreign cultural industries, and facilitate the construction of Chongqing demonstration project colleges of international people-to-people exchanges.

There will be a headquarters base and several featured parks

At the signing ceremony, China Center for International People-to-People Exchange of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China and Chongqing Education Association for International Exchange signed the co-construction agreement of the International People-to-People Exchange (Chongqing) Experimental Park. In addition, Chongqing Education Association for International Exchange has also sighed the co-construction agreement with the People’s Government of Jiulongpo District and the People’s Government of Rongchang District, Chongqing, with more than 10 colleges including Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, as well as over 10 enterprises at home and abroad such as Chongqing Yutai Economic and Cultural Communication Center and JF Phumphanmuang Recreation & Sports Exchange Center.

According to Xie Shibo, Deputy Secretary General of Chongqing Education Association for International Exchange and Director of the Office of the Experimental Park, there will be a headquarters base and several featured parks. The headquarters includes one research institute, three centers, and three platforms, among which the research institute is used for research on theories, policies, practices, approaches, assessments, and discussions of international people-to-people exchanges.

The international exchange center will construct overseas service bases of 12 countries in the Experimental Park, in a bid to support the settlement of overseas services. To facilitate international people-to-people exchanges, the international education center will build the domestic educational institution database, the educational program and activity database, while the international industry center will set the counterparts in the industrial field.

Three platforms and over 10 characteristics parks

The three platforms include the Western China International Fair, the industrial development fund, as well as the intelligent service used for resources, programs, industrial network transactions, and people-to-people network exchanges.

Additionally, there have been more than 10 characteristic parks planned outside the headquarters. For example, the service park for Sino-foreign language & culture exchange can provide such international exchange services as the transformation of Chinese and foreign languages & information as well as the talent cultivation of foreign languages (especially non-universal languages).

The service park for international vocational industry-education integration will integrate superior vocational education resources at home and abroad and connect with the local industrial development of Chongqing, so as to “bring in” foreign resources from and help domestic ones “go global” to countries along the “Belt and Road” Initiative. The sharing park for Sino-foreign cooperative school-running is going to carry out such projects as international colleges of music, art, business, nursing, logistics, and communication. Moreover, the international exchange park for intangible culture will gather institutions, products, and projects for intangible cultural heritage including traditional Chinese medicine, martial arts, delicacies, festival folk-custom, as well as traditional Chinese ideology and culture, set up a college of intangible culture, and build an international exchange and promotion platform.
